The
original Gainsburg House, designed by Lloyd Wright, was built on a site
in the foothills of the Angelus National Forest in 1946.The single story
plan, based on a triangular grid, consists of two wings which meet at the
central living room to form a splayed L. The west wing contains bedrooms
and a study, while the east wing consisted of a carport, kitchen, utility
room, family room, and powder room.
